MACAU
A mere 65 kilometers west of Hongkong, Macau sits on the western bank of the Pearl River Delta. Like Hongkong, it is a Special Administrative Region of China. The Portuguese settled in Macau in 1500s, and became the most inlfuential power until the handover in 1999. Recent developments turn Macau Island into a small Las Vegas (I called it Lost Vegas).

The Chinese gambling mecca of Macau an autonomous region of China situated 65 km west of Hong Kong, is the international king of gambling towns. Macau's economy has bloomed rapidly due to the opening of the gambling licenses.
